The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) has established in terms of an international agreement to frees up the Ukrainian foodstuff’s exports especially the export of grain, which was blocked since the escalation of the military conflict in Ukraine.
The lack of export volumes threatens with a food crisis especially in the primary export countries. Another aggravating factor is the severe drought that is affecting the European agriculture this year.
According to Euronews, the ships will deliver more than 161,000 tons of food products to Turkey, China and Italy.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the progress, however, he expressed concern that the risk with security is still a key point and hoping that the global food crisis will be solved by fulfilling the international partner’s obligations.
